Guest Lectures for High School Students and Staff
We are pleased to announce our new line-up of lectures and lecturers!
Each lecture is:
- One hour in length, including time for Q&A
- Delivered in-person or virtually
- Tailored to grades 11 and 12 high school university seeking students or an adult audience

Dr. Mandy Elliott, Assistant Professor, Booth University College is pleased to provide 2 different lectures:
- Your Identity – How do you see the world and how does the world see you
- How Women’s Bodies Have Been Depicted in Film
Dr. Elliott is a member of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Booth UC, with a focus on English literature and film. Check out a recent article from our website to get to know her a little better.
She is available to guest lecture on Wednesday or Thursday afternoons in the fall 2023-2024 term.

The Urbanization of Forced Displacement
Dr. Klassen is a member of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Booth UC, with a focus on sociology and behavioural sciences. Check out his profile for more information about Dr. Klassen.
He is available to guest lecture in person on Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning or anytime on Friday in the fall 2023-2024 term.

Counsellors’ Breakfast at Booth UC
Booth UC was thrilled to host its Counsellors’ Breakfast at Booth UC on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
Counsellors were able to meet with our President, Dr. Rob Fringer, along with Vice-President Academic and Dean, Dr. Linda Schwartz to learn more about our programs.
Additionally, our keynote speaker, Jennifer Meixner, Assistant Professor of Social Work presented on the topic “Moral Courage for Mobilizing Justice”.
